Aren’t smoothies amazing? I know I’m not exactly discovering the wheel by saying this, but I’m madly in love with the incredible variety of flavors, nutrients, and health benefits that you can pack in such a simple concept as “chop – add ice – blend.” A couple of weeks ago, during my many late-night internet escapades, I purchased an awesome little book called Healthy Smoothie Recipes. Am I the only one who cracks and pops on every angle right at the beginning of every jog? I was never the most flexible girl in gym class, and the mere idea of cracking my knuckles has always sent shivers down my spine. So now, of course, every time I try to kick my workout up a notch, I find myself awfully sore and in pain the following two or even three days. GET RID OF THE LEAKS: INCONTINENCE-BLASTING SMOOTHIE

OK, I’ll own up to it: I’ve been lazy lately and skipping my routine Kegels. It’s silly, I know, since they are so easy to do anywhere, without anyone noticing, and they are a must during menopause! Kegel exercises, turns out, not only keep our libido from disappearing but also exercise bladder and pelvic floor muscles – lack of estrogen makes them flabby and weak, which usually ends up in embarrassing urine leaks whenever I try to have a good laugh or sneeze.
